How do I install and use the Entry Manager app?

Installing the app

The Entry Manager app is available for both iOS and Android devices. Download it from the appropriate app store using one of the options below:

Apple App Store: Click Here or search for Entry Manager.
Google Play Store: Click Here or search for Entry Manager.

Running the app for the first time

Open the app and enter your phone number.

Enter the verification code you receive, then tap Login. (The code is valid for 60 seconds)

Setup is complete. You will see a list of all entries you have access to.

How do I send access codes to all residents?
  1. Log in to your community account by visiting the Smart Entry Systems portal.
  2. Select your community from the list.
  3. Navigate to the Residents tab.
  4. Click the orange button labeled Text Access Code to All Residents.

Each resident will receive a personalized text message containing their unique access code.

For security and tracking purposes, access codes are assigned to individual residents and should not be shared.

Can I use the same phone number for multiple units or apartments?

No. A single phone number cannot be assigned to multiple units or apartments. Each unit must have a unique phone number associated with it.

Example:
If John Smith is registered for Apartment 11 using phone number 123-456-7890, that same phone number cannot be used for Apartment 12.

How does the system work for non-smartphone or landline users?

Non-smartphone and landline users will receive voice-only phone calls from 786-623-5161 when a visitor requests access.

After the automated message plays, the resident can press any key to begin communicating with the visitor. To grant access, the resident can then press ✱1

How does a resident or visitor open the door?
  • At the door, by entering their numeric access code or scanning their QR Code.
  • At the door, depending on the type of reader installed, with one or more of the following credentials:
    • Touchless RFID credentials such as a key card, a key fob, or a vehicle sticker.
    • Wireless credentials such as Bluetooth and NFC tags.
  • When called by their visitor and is NOT using a smartphone, by pressing *1 on their phone’s numeric keypad.
  • When called by their visitor and is using a smartphone, by pressing the Open Door button on the app.
What happens to the intercom when the Internet goes down?

The ability for the intercom to make calls will be disabled, however, existing access codes, QR codes, cards and fobs will continue to work as usual. No updates to access codes, QR, codes, cards, fobs, schedules, and residents can be sent to the tablet by our cloud server until your Internet connection is restored.

How many doors or gates can this system support?

Unlimited and no additional monthly fees are required for having multiple doors or gates.

Do I need internet or cellular service to use the system?

Yes. An internet connection is required to use the intercom system. Internet access is necessary to make video calls, receive system updates, and view system history. *Internet service is not provided by Excellence Locksmith and is not included in price of installation.
